My Journey

My movement journey began with dance. At first I was a Hip Hop & Contemporary dancer working in video, commercial and theater performances. I then grew into competitive Ballroom & Latin. That’s right, I wore sparkly costumes, fake lashes and high heels! I traveled the world performing and competing, which I found equally exhilarating and exhausting. Overall, I loved what healthy competition provided me: the push to keep learning and to always ELEVATE! I didn’t realize it back then, but I believe the discipline of dance connected me to my body, keeping my early childhood traumas from overwhelming me. Dance was a life vest, it saved me.

I leaned on my yoga practice as my dance career was coming to a close, as it helped to ease the transition from the rigors of competitive dance. I began feeling my body in a different, more compassionate way and started to notice shifts beyond the physical. I discovered how becoming quiet, still and diving deeper within unlocked a whole other part of myself. I got to know myself on my mat and it felt like healing.

I became so fascinated about “why” yoga felt so magical, I became a student again and took my 200hr Vinyasa Teacher Training with Katie Brauer at YogaSix. It was the single best thing I ever did for myself and my teaching! I truly believe to be a great teacher, one also needs to be a student. Craving more knowledge, I continued my yoga education and completed a 300hr advanced Hatha and Ashtanga training with Yogamea in Italy.

Teaching has always been a passion for me, regardless of the modality. Over the many years of guiding people of all ages and levels, one thing rings true, the universal language of movement unites and heals. Witnessing students grow and have “ah ha” moments make me smile. Watching my friends live their passions fills me with joy. Traveling fills me with awe. A great glass of wine and a sunset can cure anything!

We are the sum of our experiences. My experiences in dance, yoga and life have brought me here at this moment to share what I have learned with you. This is my purpose. My calling. I am honored to be your guide.
In service with grace and gratitude,

Tsha

words of love

“If I were to describe Tsha's teaching in two words it would be INTENTIONAL and NUANCED. Her classes are a harmonious mix of mindful movement, intelligent alignment and subtle experiential cues that create a seamless mind, body and spirit experience. I have had the pleasure of co-facilitating 200 hour yoga teacher trainings with Tsha and every group we led, I was continually impressed by her reliability, preparedness and professionalism. You can count on Tsha to genuinely show up, ready to share her gifts, providing inspiration to everyone in her presence.
